Axuda Privacy Policy

Our commitment to protecting your privacy is outlined in the policy below. This privacy policy describes the overall company Privacy Policy of Axuda, Inc. (“Axuda”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and the services offered on the Axuda.org website (“Services”).

How we protect your privacy to earn your confidence and trust
Axuda is a non-profit corporation that works to provide financial resources in the form of microloans to members of our local community in need (our “Borrowers”) who are struggling to meet their short term financial needs. Our goal is to provide a forum for Borrowers to tell their stories and crowdsource loans from lenders (“Lenders”) via the Axuda web platform (the “Axuda Program”). For you to allow us to serve you, we must earn your confidence and trust. As you should expect, the privacy of your personal financial information is extremely important to us. We take significant steps to protect your privacy so we can maintain your trust – and it is the right thing to do.

The information in this notice explains our policies for collecting, using, storing and protecting the personal financial information that you entrust to us.

Axuda does not sell your private information
We do not and will not sell mailing lists or the financial information of Borrowers, Lenders or Sponsors.

Our privacy policy explains:

  1. What information we collect
  2. How we use that information
  3. What information we share with others

Section III – Other Site Policies
Sharing information with third-party service providers

By using the services of reputable companies, we can provide you state-of-the-art products and services we would not be able to provide you on our own. In all cases where we use third-party service providers to help us serve you, contract provisions and our due diligence protect the privacy of all information shared. Generally, we share your information with non-affiliated third parties to complete transactions or maintain accounts and related records. We limit the information shared to only what is absolutely necessary to provide the service to you.

Here are some examples of third-party service providers we use:

  1. website developer,
  2. application processors,
  3. online platform access provider,
  4. credit card payment processor, and
  5. Automated Clearing House (“ACH”) payment processor.

We may also share information with select non-affiliated third parties, if you request or authorize it, or the information is necessary to process a transaction initiated by you.

We enter into arrangements only with businesses we believe provide a quality product or service and who follow strict confidentiality requirements to assure they are legally bound to safeguard any information that is shared with them.

Technologies We Use

Axuda uses technologies such as cookies and pixels to keep track of your activities on our website and to serve you more relevant micro-lending offers . A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your device for record-keeping purposes. Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for an extended period of time. We and our third party providers use session cookies and persistent cookies to make it easier for you to navigate and enhance the experience of our site, and to monitor and evaluate our website’s operation and use.

We use persistent cookies to keep track of your activities when you visit our website and to serve you relevant micro-lending offers. Axuda’s policy is that we only collect information that does not personally or directly identify you via these cookies. You can remove cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser’s “help” file. How We Protect Personal Information

We take security seriously. And, while we continue providing you convenient new methods by which to access your account, we realize there are a number of precautions we must take to safeguard the information you are transmitting. We employ reasonable and appropriate security measures such as maintaining physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in compliance with applicable security requirements, including federal and state regulations. We use computer safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption; we enforce physical access controls to our buildings and files; and we authorize access to personal information only for those employees who require it to fulfill their job responsibilities. All credit card information is encrypted with 128-bit SSL encryption before it is transmitted across the network. However, no security system is foolproof and we cannot guarantee the security of your information.

Unsupervised Children

Children 18 and under are not eligible to use our services without participation and supervision of a legal parent or guardian. Axuda.org is not a site meant for children, and we do not provide privacy measures designed to protect children when using the Internet unsupervised. Third Party Website Policies

Axuda has no control over, nor does it bear any of the responsibility for the privacy policies or content of any sites linked to or on Axuda’s website, or the cookies these sites might set in your browser. Axuda encourages you to read and evaluate the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit when you first enter the site. Our confidentiality agreements include provisions preventing any third-party we deal with from contacting you in any manner outside of the terms of the agreement. Therefore, we do not currently provide an opt-out option, except for promotional materials sent to you by Axuda (the opt-out procedure is found in the promotional materials). We do not intend to alter our current practices but rest assured that if we do, we will provide an opt-out method and make sure that you are given notice and more than adequate time to respond.
